Re: questions from prospective user(s)

Do you find that the dataref matched what the XP ATIS says, or is it being set by xEnviro, thus the ATIS and dataref don't agree?

Re: questions from prospective user(s)

It's hard to tell because xEnviro doesn't set the XP ATIS, so checking if the weather matches can be tricky. Listening to the ATIS doesn't work and neither does clicking the airport details on the map screen. However, when I set the baro to PE ATC values, or from foreflight, generally my altimeter r...

Re: questions from prospective user(s)

I use xEnviro also, and generally use the altimeter setting from ATC. 99% of the time xEnviro weather and baro match what I see on skyvector or ForeFlight, so I figure it's safe to use the weather from ATC. As far as I know, xEnviro doesn't set the XP ATIS at all, so I never use the default XP ATIS ...

Re: Departure out of Yuma

Thanks Keith,

That makes sense. I guess I didn't really think I should fully cross the radial before turning - I just wasn't sure what actions I could take in order to capture the radial cleanly. Basically, do what you need to, ATC won't care.

Thanks again.

Departure out of Yuma

I found myself in a bit of an unknown situation last night departing out of KNYL and wanted to clairify - it was too busy to ask on frequency. I departed KNYL headed to KSNA in a 733. Departure runway was 21R, ARGUS3 departure. (here's the plate: https://skyvector.com/files/tpp/1610/pdf/00511ARGUS.P...

---Update---

Well... it was working...

I was running fine for around 45 min, but then my frame-rates crashed and everything went bad again. Oh well, probably need to uninstall the update....

Re: X-Plane 10.50 and Windows Anniversary Update Conflict

I also had this problem after installing the anniversary update. I was able to follow some suggestions from the .org forum and got things working again - without uninstalling the windows update. Go to the x-Plane.exe file and open the properties. On the compatibility tab, click 'Change settings for ...

Re: [newbie question] What frequency to use outside ATC serv

Is any tuneable frequency (118-137 MHz) supported by the PE client, or is it only the published ATC frequencies in the ZLA airspace? If I were next to another pilot and we both tuned a frequency we knew wasn't an ATC frequency, would we be able to hear / talk to each other?

Flights around the Grand Canyon

Hey All,

I wondered if PE was fully simulating the special flight rules around the Grand Canyon? I assume the flight-free zones are in effect, but what about the commercial operation routes etc.

Thanks!
