The fix for me was updating the pe.smx file, as Keith mentioned.

Derp. That's the one I meant. One of those buttons up there.

I just use FSUIPC to bind a button to the default PE PTT keypress (PRNSCRN).

According to a map I saw somewhere this will cover pretty much the entire PE (original) area, including Vegas.
