Re: XPlane 11 running slow after Pilot Edge Connect
Hello friends, and a happy and better new year to you all... I found that I must have Metal active to run PilotEdge where there might be more than one or two drone aircraft within visual range. After an eternity (it has seemed) of experiencing intermittent fps drops from ±60 to 1 or 2 fps, and tortu...

The scenery developer is working on a version which will prioritize the objects differently, allowing you to reduce your object density slider in the graphics settings and turn down lots of the static detail while still keeping the important bits.
Fantastic!!

Re: [Jul 21-25] SimVenture 2020
Hi Kevin, I'm on Mac, so no Vulkan :) and no Metal, either. I keep my settings pretty minimal, because my machine is a little agèd and has only 2GB of VRAM. Nevertheless, I am accustomed to frame rates between mid-30s and 50 or 60. I think the scenery is just overwhelming my system, which stands to ...

What an amazing project! Thanks Keith and everyone!
The scenery though: ACK!! Full of character, yes, but set at lowest (non-zero) World Object density I'm seeing <10 fps vs my usual 40-60 fps. Any advice?

Re: Where's my flight plan?
Yep. Just flew the flight successfully, VFR, but having filed in IFR plan on PE. I can confirm that PE and PEAware are not acknowledging my VFR flight plans at all.

Re: Where's my flight plan?
Hmmm. Annoying. I DID check PE and refiled my flight plan a couple of times. I was logged on, but the flight plan never showed up. I flew the flight anyway, assuming it would work out at some point.
Nope!

Where's my flight plan?
I flew my first alphabet challenge flight today. Fun! Unfortunately, PilotEdge would not acknowledge that I had filed a VFR flight plan. At the end of my flight (KAPV to KBFL), the site still said "no flight plan filed", so I could not log the flight. Must I file an IFR flight plan, even i...

Question: are you saying that PilotEdge traffic can't be seen when using Vulcan?TheMuslimTurtle wrote:shanethomas wrote:...just not if you're running Vulkan...

Great [terrible] idea! Very funny, though!kullery wrote:And just to complete the immersive experience on an eventual European implementation, be sure to add an automatic surcharge for each ATC interaction so that everyone experiences the full impact of ATC user fees!!!

Re: x-plane crash
Good luck! On one level, I hope it doesn't work—just because I took the same measures and they have not worked for me.
