WHAT? No Long EZ's allowed at AirVenture this year? THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I'm calling Jack Pelton right now to file a formal complaint.
Kidding, I'll pick something from your list. Hopefully you got some cool experimentals on there. I ain't flying no C172.

Re: [Jul 21-25] SimVenture 2020
This really sounds cool. I plan to participate in this event using Xplane. What is the best method for model matching? I want to make sure that my Long-EZ is visible as a proper airplane versus a B-52 or something. Normally, I'm not too concerned with model matching, but in this case it is important.

Re: Best (sim) Multi-Engine Plane for FSX
I would recommend the MilViz C310. Good trainer. I don't think the RealAir Turbine Duke captures the engine dynamics properly, and is not well-suited for ME training, but it is VERY fun to fly in the sim. I have not flown the RealAir piston engine BE60.

Re: Mixture cutting off when running PE Client
With the exception of the Citation II for XP11, everything I have purchased from Carenado is complete crap - flight model-wise. I don't care about the model matching issue so much, I just want my maddog to fly properly without the engines shutting down right after takeoff roll. I'm VERY happy that a...

Re: Mixture cutting off when running PE Client
Yea, software developers must be demented folks. What's next, adding a malware file to the DRM management system in my next A320 add-on? Oh wait, nevermind.
I'll fuss with this tonight and see if I can fly the MaddogX on PE.
Thanks!

Re: Mixture cutting off when running PE Client
This has been happening to me every time I fly the maddogX md82. It was driving me crazy because setting up that plane is very time-consuming. I will try deleting the carenado references tomorrow and see what happens. Let me get this straight, if I use PE model matching to map an AI aircraft to one ...

Re: Most intense sim experience ever!!!!
I'm quite impressed at the simulated plane's ability to model icing. I've never seen ice modeled properly in any home use simulator. Having done my training at Western Michigan University flight school, with many winter flights I can tell you that even light rime icing is not something that makes fo...

Advice to all : Brush up on your holding procedures. http://www.touch-n-goes.com/articles/instrument/holdentries.html If you are flying an airliner, you can program the FMC to fly the hold. In the 737-800 and the Airbus A320 this is quite easy to do. There are many tutorials on YouTube which explain...

Re: [Sat Jan 20] Salt Lake City Takeover: PHX, SFO or SEA to
Yes! It was a great time indeed. I was thinking how funny this would have been had it been a real life event. All these people flying airliners around, trying to figure out how to HOLD over a fix. I was in a hold over St. George VOR with Jon Fly. It was hilarious. While I've done holds in real life ...

the guy working the WUS Tracon on Weekends is spot on. Never misses a beat. Keeps me honest. Someone trained him well.
Thanks.
