I was playing around with the latest update after not using it for a while, and its come on a long way, the flight planning has improved and the LNAV seems to work properly in the A320, LJ, King Air etc.
I mean for VFR its downright impressive the level of detail and how it is silky smooth

Re: Spatial Disorientation in a Heli
The importance of a consistent and confident instrument scan is paramount
I always find instrument approaches in a Heli actually easier than a fixed wing since you can set the collective for the VS you need to maintain the glidepath and use a bit of trim on the cyclic to maintain a constant IAS

Re: U.K. Call signs
One thing I have noticed when I have used a alphabetical callsign is some controllers will read it out non-phonetically e.g GBWWW instead of Golf Bravo Whiskey Whiskey Whiskey which is a bit strange when I am a UK PPL

Callsigns that aren't in the controller's database?
So I am wanting to fly with a callsign CLA which is the ICAO for a new UK heavy cargo airline (Cargo Logic Air, ordered 6x 747-8fs :-)) mostly because I want to play around with the SCS 747-8 I have and its an awesome callsign (Firebird) Anyway I was wondering how I can make the controllers aware of...

Re: AeroFly FS 2
I have got the Early Access, its very very pretty to look at, and you get a shead load of aircraft out of the box, its also fairly decent on peformance, if you can get decent FPS on FSX or XP then it should work well. Its obviously meant to be a bit like Flight Unlimted in that it gives you a very d...

Re: X-Plane 10 + Linux my experience
I think XP10 generally doesn't work great under Windows, I got a Mac Pro (the big silver older one) off Ebay for XP10 (I got sick of FSX and since I use XP at work alot (I am a HFACS engineer) I wanted it here). Anyway I tried it on bootcamp Windows 7 and it would just randomly hang whenever I flew ...

Re: Never again on PE - share your mistakes
During my first attempt at the I10 I missread the decent profile and somehow forgot the VOR isn't on the airfield and almost put a King Air into the middle of the ocean.
Kinda embarrassing
