Re: I'm Hyperventilating
Congrats Bob! For mic fright, just remember you are talking to people. They might be a little busier than you but in the end they want to see you succeed. If needed they will answer questions or point you to the proper resources. When things are hectic wait and listen before transmitting. Once you u...

Re: Pissed off ATC
The only happy pill that controllers need comes from prepared pilots. If there are any parts of your flight plan you don't understand, ask before you are in the air. Learn to anticipate what is going to happen in the next leg of your trip. This is known as "Staying ahead of your aircraft"....

Re: Question on Coastal route
Hi Thomas,
One of the fun routes is to go VFR over LAX using the "LA Special Flight Rules Airspace". You can find it on the LA TAC chart. I'll use it going down to Long Beach from Oxnard and back. If you would like, we could fly it together some time.

Re: FSX Software for Taxiing
I have installed AivlaSoft EFB. It gives great airport detail, moving map and even identifies FSX parking spots. It also has tons of other info. The great news is you can try it for 30 days before purchase.

Re: VF&R Adventure #18 [Sat Aug 16 - 23:00 Zulu]
Lance, Is there a way Keith could suspend the flock of Barons at KSZP for the day. There are six or seven of them in and out of Santa Paula all at the same time. It does make sense as CP Aviation school has four 150's, one 152, four 172's, two Citabria's, two Decathlon's, an RG182 and a Pitts. I got...

Re: VF&R Adventure #18 [Sat Aug 16 - 23:00 Zulu]
Sounds like great fun. I'll be there. If you want to cross LAX without a controller there is a procedure on the LA TAC. I am attaching a pic of the Santa Paula, KSZP traffic procedures for RWY 22. (22 is the calm wind runway.) Kind of tricky flying the DW leg between the mountain and runway. See ya ...

Filing flight from outside to inside PE coverage area.
How do I file and receive clearance from outside of coverage area? E.G. KSFO - KSNA?
