Re: Plugin Not Working Correctly
I'm not the expert on this but I believe the headset is set as default communication device not default output device. Good luck! Right - in the Oculus Rift though it has a built-in microphone as well as the headphones, so the settings for both point at the same device. Speaking of that though, I d...

Re: Plugin Not Working Correctly
Alright, this is really, really strange. I decided to reinstall X-Plane 11 from scratch, due to some other issues I was having (copied the install folder over after an OS wipe). Completely clean XP install. Brand new PilotEdge plugin install. Default Cessna. I log into PE, and I can hear the control...

Re: Plugin Not Working Correctly
Hi - interestingly enough I'm having the same issue. I've made sure that the PilotEdge plugin is set to my Oculus headphones, and they are set to the default output device (with the Oculus mic set to default microphone). I cannot hear anything from PilotEdge at all. When I bring up the PilotEdge Rec...

Re: CAT-11 cruise altitude
Okay, thanks Scott. That's what I suspected but I wanted to make sure.
And yes... I have the sneaking suspicion that you are 100% correct there. It got me, for sure.Scott Medeiros wrote:I suspect the 7500' cruise altitude was not selected arbitrarily .

CAT-11 cruise altitude
This is probably obvious, but just to be sure I'm requesting a clarification - when we fly the CAT-11, is our cruise altitude after leaving Bravo airspace our own choice (within VFR altitude requirements and staying clear of LAX Bravo of course), or are we required to fly at 7500? I had originally p...

Re: Very inauspicious disconnection
I feel your pain. I had something similar happen on the CAT-10. It was my 4th attempt - I blew Bravo by mistake the 1st time, and the sim crashed both times I tried after that. This time everything was going great though - I finally get everything smoothly laid out and take off. I receive my clearan...

Re: Pilot Introductions
Hey all, My name's Mike, and I've been on PilotEdge now for a couple of months and figured I'd finally post something here. I'm 49, have a career in IT, and live in N. Mississippi. I've been a lifelong aviation fanatic. It started when I was introduced at a very young age to a friend of the family w...

Re: XPlane 11 and PE questions
Regarding your transponder and PTT question. It's much more simple in X-Plane. Turn your transponder to ALT and it works. No addons or workarounds required. For a PTT, just go into the X-Plane control settings and map a button to "Contact ATC". Yes, it really is that simple. Oooh man. I t...

XPlane 11 and PE questions
I think I'm officially done with FSX. My last 3 flights, all while attempting to fly the CAT-10, have resulted in a Virtual Memory crash in the middle of the flight. My apologies to all the controllers that this has happened to - twice I was directly over LAX when the sim finally nose dived. I've do...
