Placing custom objects throughout your X-Plane scenery is pretty easy. You can read about the scenery system by checking out http://scenery.x-plane.com . There is no right answer on which simulator to use. That answer will depend on a lot of variables. I use X-Plane, so I am partial to that product. You can't go wrong with X-Plane.
