This occurs if the plugin isn't able to open the input or playback device at the time the sim is loaded up (PRIOR to connecting to xplane). So, step 1....make sure everything is plugged in and then fire up the sim and connect to PE. If that's failing, then post the contents of your PilotEdge_out.tx...
