Re: some nice feedback...
I'd like to take my turn with a big shout out to Keith and all the ATC folks on PilotEdge who put up with my constant mistakes and my guts coming straight out of my mouth because of mic fright lol. Thank you! I'm thoroughly enjoying my time in PilotEdge. Every time I participate I learn something ne...

Re: CAT Rating Airport Selection
Hi Guys, << Back again but with a new question. And since it falls under the same topic of selecting an airport I decided not to make a new post. >> In regards to taking a CAT rating test, are we limited to using the published airport(s) in the CAT description? The reason I'm asking is because today...

Re: Ground Communications Questions
SH, The first part would be optional. Aircraft with ground power connected or an APU can pick up clearance and check for departure delays prior to engine start. Small GA aircraft may elect to start their engine(s) first in order to not run down their batteries while talking on the radios. When taxi...

Ground Communications Questions
Disclaimer: I'm a greenhorn and just joined PilotEdge three weeks ago. I'm learning a ton though and I realize just how valuable PilotEdge is - great job admins! I have a question about ground communications rules. First, according to the AIM, 4-3-12. Communications : "Pilots of departing aircr...

Re: PIlot Edge Receiver
Hi Keith,
So it's most likely not a firewall issue. I downloaded and installed the Mac version on my Mac laptop and it works fine. I can go ahead and use that but perhaps you might want to look into permissions issues for Windows? Not sure, just taking a stab in the dark.
Thanks for your help.

Re: PIlot Edge Receiver
Hmm, strange. I don't even get a list of frequencies. See screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/EHNg3jO And to confirm, my Internet connection is just fine. That said, I am behind a hardware firewall and a VPN connection and a static IP. But that said, too, I don't usually have any problems with any other...

Re: PIlot Edge Receiver
Hello,
Is PilotEdge Receiver no longer working? When I open it no frequencies appear. I checked the documentation and it claims I can run the app from any location (and I'm running it from an external hard drive).
Is there a step I've missed?
Thanks.

Re: Coverage Areas
Thanks, Keith,
Agreed, there doesn't seem to be anything procedurally different. And agreed, it's just a nice to have.
I appreciate your reply and thanks.
