Re: Sound could not open capture device - fixed

Oh I hate it when I post an issue then immediately find the cause! I had managed to uncheck the WIN 10 button "Allow apps to access microphone". It is working now.

Sound could not open capture device

Since upgrading to the latest PE Client yesterday, July 21st, my connection to PE was at first a confused mess (engine sound fading in and out, voice of controller at Oshkosh also fading in and out). Today I simply cannot connect to the Client and receive the above error. I have uninstalled and rein...

Re: Thanks for the Washington Alphabet Challenge

I have to join in and say I’m quite looking forward to it. I’ve rarely flown VFR on PE but will do more with this Challenge. My only problem is now I want to go get all the ORBX Washington airports!

Re: [Feb 16 12p-3pm PST] EVENT: Nobody Goes to Fresno 2!

May I jump on the bandwagon here - great stuff! :) Thanks to all the people at PE that gave up part of their Sunday to make this event happen. The controllers only get better - who's watching the real US airspace? ;) Keith, thank you, and looking forward to a Western US venture next.

Charter aircraft

I see nothing about which aircraft must be used in flying these scenarios. May one be free to use most any type - single or multi engine, as long as they can fly the distance, land and take off from the airfields, etc?

Re: What's the matter with Texas?

Well Kevin, seeing that you also are in Texas, rather than try to defend my home state, I will agree we have our share of problems, but then again we do have armadillos and horny toads. :)

Re: Random Comms losses

I want to chime in with my two cents also - I had similar occurrences yesterday. Once when advised to change frequences, I could pick up the controller's conversations, but never got a response. Went back to the previous frequency and received an acknowledgement from the controller as if I had chang...

Used to pattern work in the B-52D at Carswell AFB. When the Texas heat was too much we would just open the windows. ;)

Cheaper than a round of golf where I play (and far more entertaining than the way I play). Count me as a subscriber.
