[Jan 17 (Sun) 1800-2100 PST] Left Turn at Albuquerque!
Re: [Jan 17 (Sun) 1800-2100 PST] Left Turn at Albuquerque!
Do we know of any decent scenery for X-Plane?
Re: [Jan 17 (Sun) 1800-2100 PST] Left Turn at Albuquerque!
The scenery on the ORG is pretty old and the runways/taxiways are outdated (one of the runways was removed a few years ago). The latest version on the Scenery Gateway is actually pretty decent (runways and taxiways seem to be accurate) but is legobrick of course.

Is this just the Bravo, or will be able to fly across Centers (i.e. KSAN to KABQ)?

Steve,
Albuqerque Center, approach and tower will be staffed, for the purpose of handling ABQ deps/arrivals, along with the rest of the primary coverage area. You can depart from any airport that would nromally have coverage.

Albuquerque! Uh is that in NJ? Have to check my Rand McNally. Since the PE team is gonna be there with additional staff. The least we can do is show up.
Hot air balloons are optional.

Howdy folks:
I took the latest X-Plane scenery off of the Scenery Gateway and decided to make some improvements to it. I noticed that the outline of the terminal building was a bit off, so I fixed it to be closer to the real terminal outline, fixed some ramp markings, added ramp start locations for all the gates, fixed a few taxilines, fixed PAPI/VASI locations and runway markings to reflect current conditions, and added a few static aircraft, such as some C-130s on the military ramp (courtesy of the XP10 Default Military Aircraft to Static Objects library by Maou... I pulled the C-130 objects and put them in my scenery package since the author grants permission to do so). I also put a 727 on the north end of the former Runway 17, which exists there in real life (although the real aircraft has a plain white paint job and is missing its engines).
Keep in mind that this is not a detailed scenery package (with no custom buildings), but I wanted to get the terminal, gates, and the other stuff closer to reality quickly in time for this event. Hope some of you find it useful for the ABQ fly-in event. Dropbox link to this package below. Feel free to IM me any comments or suggestions.

Thanks,

P.S.: I used some objects/line markings from opensceneryX and MisterX's Library, so you'll need those installed in your Custom Scenery folder.

Are there any preferred IFR routes for this event? (For both legs)
