German Callsign PilotEdge Connect

Post by Jan Lueders »

I made my last flight with PilotEdge at 06/20/2018. I always used a German registration number (D-Exxx).

If I try to log in with the same callsign today, there is a failure: callsign cannot contain hyphens. I know, that I can use the callsign like DExxx, but in the PEaware it is not recognized as a German aircraft - like it did in the past with the D-Exxx callsign.
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help.

There was a client update sometime in the past year that disallowed hyphens in callsigns as there are no hyphens in real-world FAA ATC callsigns (despite what it may say on your tail). I’ll let Tim know to take a look at PEAware and see if we can get that fixed.

Thank you for answering. A fix would be great. :-)

Hi Jan,

This isn't possible in the current codebase for PEaware, but is planned as a desired feature for a future replacement. We haven't kicked that project off yet but I hope to this year.
