I had a wind storm come up (at my house in RL) and was receiving flight following from KSBA to KBUR and was about to enter charlie airspace for KBUR. I let the controller know I needed to cancel flight following because I needed to quickly disconnect. He said that's fine and I did.
Seemed to go OK, but I just wanted to confirm for future reference: What is the proper way to disconnect when you suddenly need to step away, while receiving following, and to avoid inconveniencing anyone?
Thanks, and thanks to the controllers on PE. You folks do a great job!!
Mark.
How to disconnect suddenly while getting flight following?
Re: How to disconnect suddenly while getting flight followin
My callsign was N231J in case the controller I was chatting to is on this forum.
Thanks,
Mark.
