X-Plane Auto Startup BATCH File

Post by Kyle.Sanders »

This BATCH File will automatically start your X-Plane 11 along with opening many popular websites to help prepare for your flight.

The websites that it opens by default are listed below but is easily editable by the user:

*A google search for your departure and arrival airport x-plane scenery

*A FlightAware analysis for your route

*Skyvector zoomed out to the CONUS and direct routing between your DEP and ARR airports

*AIRNAV pages for your DEP and ARR airports

*Avaition Wx .gov

*Flight plan pre-file pages for both VATSIM and PilotEdge

(note- I am sure there are more efficient methods of doing this but I am just now dipping my toes into coding. Starting with Batch and then moving on from there)

X-PLANE 11 AUTO FLIGHT
SETUP BATCH FILE UPDATED

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

1) If a configuration file exist, the user will not be prompted where the X-Plane 11 program is stored (computer vs steam).

2) Added a file browser window for selecting the directory rather than typing or copy/pasting it.

Maybe you should include some more details about what web pages it opens up. Your post is rather vague and doesn’t really give people a good idea of what they’re downloading.

Yeah I didn’t think of that. I included it in the BATCH File Help menu but obviously people wouldn’t know that before running it. Thanks for the tip! Modified the original post.

A possible addition to your batch file which some may find useful.
